Virtual Reality Added to SeaWorld’s Oldest Roller Coaster

SeaWorld has just completed the makeover of its 17-year-old roller coaster.
Kraken is the first major ride in Florida to add the high-tech option of virtual reality goggles. Although it is a major makeover for the coaster, it doesn’t involve any changes to the track.
The renovated coaster is getting a new name, Kraken Unleashed. SeaWorld gives its guests the feeling of simulated reality through technology that projects an undersea showdown with the ride’s namesake monster.

Disney Parks See Slight Drop in Attendance as Prices Rise

A new report shows attendance at Disney Parks is down for the first time in a decade. Increased ticket prices led to the decline in attendance.
Last year, Magic Kingdom in Orlando topped the list of most visited theme parks around the globe with more than 20.3 million visitors. Moreover, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios also made it in the Top 10.

SeaWorld Orlando To Add Sesame Street Land

SeaWorld Entertainment announced they are planning to build new Sesame Place theme park in Orlando.

Sesame Street and SeaWorld Parks are partnering to build a new Sesame Street land at its Orlando theme park by the year 2022. They are also considering a second Sesame Place theme park in a yet-unknown location in the United States.

Gondola System Officially Confirmed at Disney

The Walt Disney Resort is getting a gondola transportation system. The new transportation system would connect parks and hotels, documents confirm. The gondola system has been rumored for months.
Documents from the Disney-controlled Reedy Creek Improvement District confirm that the project is actually going forward and Walt Disney World is working on a gondola lift system in order to connect some of its theme parks and hotels.

Disney Finally Announces: the Star Wars Lands Will Open in 2019

The Star Wars attractions are scheduled to open at California’s Disneyland and Florida’s Walt Disney World in 2019, Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement during an investor call a few days ago.
The 14-acre attractions were first announced in 2015. They are currently under construction at the parks and represent Disney’s largest single-theme land expansion ever. According to the DisneyParks blog, the lands will feature aliens and droids, various markets, landing zones, and buildings, as well as an epic attraction like Han Solo’s life-sized Millennium Falcon spaceship while on a mission that visitors will be able to pilot. The lands will also include a signature Star Wars adventure that puts visitors in the middle of an epic battle between First Order stormtroopers and the Resistance, and they will be given the chance to visit a remote trading port. Universal Announces Opening Date for Jimmy Fallon attraction

800px-Universal_Studios_Japan_18Universal Orlando has announced that its brand new attraction, called Ride Through New York With Jimmy Fallon, will officially debut on April 6, Thursday.

The grand opening date was announced by Jimmy Fallon on his late-night NBC talk show last Thursday. Moreover, Fallon will be taping “The Tonight Show” at the theme park from April 3 to April 6.

Skyplex to Add a New Sky-High Attraction

Skyplex developer is now characterizing his $460 million massive entertainment, retail and dining complex as a full-day theme park and claims the new addition, called SkyLedge will be the first of its kind in the U.S. allowing tourists to walk around the outside of the tower.
