Theme parks and attractions across Central Florida have announced closures as a precaution against the coronavirus earlier this month but technology has stepped in to make sure that quarantined Americans still have a way to experience their favorite rides. A YouTube channel is bringing Disney World and Universal Studios rides to people’s homes with virtual reality and it is for free. SpaceX’s next launches have been postponed by international travel restrictions imposed because of the growing coronavirus pandemic.
The launch that would have sent a Falcon 9 rocket to deliver a satellite into orbit around Earth, was originally scheduled for March 30. The satellite is part of a program for the Argentinian space agency CONAE. Now it seems that launch won’t take place and it is unclear exactly when it may be rescheduled. A Florida man was arrested for pulling the most COVID-19-esque crime imaginable: the toilet paper theft.
Angel Esteban Hernandezcinto, 31, was arrested in the Sunshine State in the early morning hours of Thursday for allegedly stealing 66 rolls of toilet paper from a hotel amid a nationwide shortage caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
