Skyplex Gets Another Thrill Attraction

A new thrill ride is coming to the Skyplex amusement complex set to be built on the corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Road in Orlando.
SkyJump is the sixth major attraction planned for the complex, the developers announced Thursday. The new attraction joins the lineup of rides such as the Skyscraper roller coaster, the SkyFall ride, a 450-foot drop ride, a Sky Surf park and SkyLedge, which allows guests to walk around the edge of the Skyplex tower 600 feet above ground. Disney Finally Announces: the Star Wars Lands Will Open in 2019

The Star Wars attractions are scheduled to open at California’s Disneyland and Florida’s Walt Disney World in 2019, Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement during an investor call a few days ago.
The 14-acre attractions were first announced in 2015. They are currently under construction at the parks and represent Disney’s largest single-theme land expansion ever. According to the DisneyParks blog, the lands will feature aliens and droids, various markets, landing zones, and buildings, as well as an epic attraction like Han Solo’s life-sized Millennium Falcon spaceship while on a mission that visitors will be able to pilot. The lands will also include a signature Star Wars adventure that puts visitors in the middle of an epic battle between First Order stormtroopers and the Resistance, and they will be given the chance to visit a remote trading port. Ringling Bros Closes ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ after 146 Years

After 146 years, Ringling Bros will close the iconic “Greatest Show on Earth.”
Employees were told the sad news a few days ago in Orlando. Its last performance is scheduled for May 21 at the Nassau Coliseum. The circus will have 30 more performances. Some of them will be in Atlanta, Washington, Boston, and Philadelphia. Other stops on the show’s last tour include Long Island and Brooklyn.

Universal Announces Opening Date for Jimmy Fallon attraction

800px-Universal_Studios_Japan_18Universal Orlando has announced that its brand new attraction, called Ride Through New York With Jimmy Fallon, will officially debut on April 6, Thursday.

The grand opening date was announced by Jimmy Fallon on his late-night NBC talk show last Thursday. Moreover, Fallon will be taping “The Tonight Show” at the theme park from April 3 to April 6.

Skyplex to Add a New Sky-High Attraction

800px-mangos_tropical_cafe_miami_florida_usaJoshua Wallack is bringing a sixth major attraction to the much-anticipated project on International Drive.

Skyplex developer is now characterizing his $460 million massive entertainment, retail and dining complex as a full-day theme park and claims the new addition, called SkyLedge will be the first of its kind in the U.S. allowing tourists to walk around the outside of the tower.

Universal’s Volcano Bay to Use Magnetic Technology

bright lava effects, said Universal when the new Orlando’s coming attraction was revealed last week.
Unniversal announced new details about its coming Volcano Bay water park. A wristband will alert guests when it’s time to get to the next ride.
