800px-Aquarium_tropical_-_bac_marinThe new entertainment complex on Orlando International Drive, I-Drive 360, is scheduled to open in phases starting spring 2015 and will be headlined by its exciting attractions: the Orlando Eye observation wheel, Sea Life aquarium and Madame Tussauds Orlando wax museum; Skeletons, a Museum of Osteology; Titanic – The Experience, and there’s also a mega-attraction that remains a mystery for now. The project is being developed by Orlando-based Unicorp National Developments Inc.

In 2015 Orlando’s tourists will be able to enjoy a 20 minute ride aboard the Orlando Eye at a height of 400 feet, to see their favorite movie stars, musicians and athletes at Madam Tussauds and enjoy an extra attraction built into it, a 4-D theater. At the Sea Life Aquarium the visitors will encounter more than 5,000 creatures, displayed in floor-to-ceiling tanks and bubble aquariums. The Museum of Osteology, Skeletons, which is expected to open next spring too, will exhibit more than 300 skeletons and allow the tourists to see much of the animal kingdom in a new way.

The complex, which is currently under construction at the former Mercado development, will offer a new place for open air events, post-convention gatherings and parties as it will feature several shops and eateries including Central Florida’s first Yard House, a 14,000-square-foot restaurant.

The $200 million development is expected to create thousands of jobs for the region and provide a further boost to Orlando’s industry.
