The convention center at Walt Disney World’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort will add 25,000 square feet over the next 2 years. The available convention space at the resort is currently 75,000 square feet, but it will be expanded to 100,000 square feet.

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center could soon be under water due to global warming.
Sea levels are rising and the multi-billion dollar complex is already seeing the effects of climate change. It appears, the land under the center is slowly sinking into the ocean. The Space Center in Florida may have to abandon some of its launchpads and facilities within a decade.
NASA partnering with the U.S. Geological Survey has been doing research on erosion happening along a 6-mile stretch of beach between the iconic launch pads 39A and 39B which have been used for the Apollo missions to the moon and many space shuttle flights.
The majority of NASA’s facilities are located at the edge of the sea for logistical reasons. If failures happened, they would be less dangerous to the public when launching rockets or testing spacecrafts over water. Continue reading “The Kennedy Space Center May Soon Be Underwater”
SpaceX plans to store and refurbish rockets at Port Canaveral.
SpaceX is planning to lease a building at Port Canaveral and may build another facility.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket made its way through Cape Canaveral on June 6 from Port Canaveral and it was the fourth reusable rocket that was brought back to the Cape and is moving into storage now. Hotels in Florida and 9 other states may have been hit by hackers for months.
The hotel operator HEI Hotels & Resorts, which operates approximately 60 hotels and resorts under a variety of brands, was notified by its credit card processor of a potential breach and started an internal investigation. The investigators found malware put into place on the payment processing systems in at least 20 of its properties, four of them in Florida.

SpaceX has successfully landed another unmanned Falcon 9 rocket after launching it into space early on Monday from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The 23-story-tall Falcon 9 rocket is built and flown by SpaceX, Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies. Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 12:45 a.m. EDT. and shortly after take-off, the vehicle touched down at the launch site, SpaceX’s Landing Complex 1. The Boeing Company is the title sponsor of the upcoming Heroes & Legends, a renewed, interactive attraction featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, announced Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex during an official ceremony on Friday. It will be the first time in more than 50 years that the complex has entered into an agreement with a corporate sponsor. Protze said that Boeing “as a leader in the human exploration of space” will bring “a rich history and exciting future” to the new attraction. Dr. Beach has named Hanauma Bay the Best Beach of 2016.
The best beach in America is Hawaii’s Hanauma Bay, according to Dr. Beach’s “Top 10 list of beaches for 2016.”
Stephen Leatherman is a Florida International University professor known as Dr. Beach. Leatherman as a coastal scientist has been reviewing beaches around the country since 1991.
For the second year in a row a beach in Hawaii has been selected as the beach No.1 on the list of America’s top ten beaches. Dr. Beach uses about 50 criteria to assess and rank beaches including water and sand quality as well as other major factors like safety and management. Shanghai Disneyland has opened its doors for a test run ahead of the giant theme park’s official opening next month. Stunning aerial images showed China’s Disneyland lit up for the first time.
The resort’s employees, partners and stakeholders received a sneak preview of the $5.5 Billion Shanghai Park on Saturday. Disney guests can only try out some attractions, entertainment and dining facilities on selected dates over a six-week period while the world’s largest entertainment company is getting ready for the official opening of its first Disney park in Shanghai. Cedar Point, in Sandusky, Ohio is clearly on the hunt for thrill-seekers with its newest addition, dubbed Valravn which is the latest record breaking roller coaster. After months of anticipation from coaster fans across the country, Cedar Point opened to the public its newest addition last Saturday- the same day the park opened for the season.
Named after a supernatural raven from Danish folklore, the new ride Valravn (VAL’-ray-vuhn) is now recognized as the tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster. The Cedar Point’s new attraction is the third dive coaster to open in the United States. The Orlando Citrus Bowl will change its name to Camping World Stadium thanks to a long-term deal announced Tuesday by officials of Florida Citrus Sports.
Kentucky-based Camping World is a company that specializes in selling parts and service for recreational vehicles and supplies for camping.
