Universal Orlando Will Reopen June 5

Universal Studios theme park plans to reopen to the public at reduced capacity on June 5, the company said on Thursday. The announcement was made during an Orange County, Florida Economic Recovery Task Force meeting attended by county, health department experts, and community leaders. The Economic Recovery Task Force approved Universal’s plans to restart on June 5.

TripAdvisor Names the Best Amusement Parks in the World

In the hunt for the world’s best amusement park, a Florida attraction takes the top spot.

The travel review site TripAdvisor revealed its new rankings of the best amusement and water parks around the world in its 2018 Travelers’ Choice awards – and the winner is an attraction in the theme park capital of Florida – Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure came out on top of the ranking just ahead of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida which came second in the list. The third position is taken by the top-rated European attraction of Le Puy du Fou, a historical theme park in Les Epesses, France. Universal Orlando Reveals Names of its 2 New Hotels

Universal Orlando Resort has announced names for the two budget-priced hotels it is building on the former site of Wet ’n Wild water park. Their names will be the Surfside Inn and Suites and the Dockside Inn and Suites.

Universal Orlando announced the construction of two hotels last November. They are part of a complex called Universal’s Endless Summer Resort. The properties will be managed by Loews Hotels & Resorts, which is involved with Universal’s other on-property hotels, including the 600-room Aventura Hotel scheduled to open this summer. First Glimpse of Upcoming Fast & Furious – Supercharged Attraction

Universal Orlando has released a few more details about its upcoming Fast and Furious attraction at Universal theme park. However, a specific opening date wasn’t announced. “The spring of 2018” said officials from the company.

Universal promises plenty of real-life automobiles involved in the Fast and Furious Supercharged attraction, which means guests will have unique high-speed action experience. A post on the official Universal blog shows that the space houses upgraded cars designed for racing: some of them we have seen in the film’s series and others are especially designed for the high-speed chase experience.

The new attraction will feature the iconic Dodge Charger owned by the character of Dom, played by Vin Diesel. Universal to Replace Dragon Challenge With New Harry Potter Ride

A Mysterious new ride is coming to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
One of the biggest rides in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will close permanently and Universal Orlando promises a huge new attraction will replace it.
In early September, the Dragon Challenge is going away and construction for a new attraction will begin. No further details have been released, but Universal says it will make way to something “highly themed with a few surprise.”
In a blog post, the theme park announced only a few days ago it is planning to make a “new generation of thrill ride” in the park. The new ride will replace the existing Dragon Challenge coaster at the Hogsmeade section of the Wizarding World in the Islands of Adventure theme park. Universal Announces Opening Date for Jimmy Fallon attraction

800px-Universal_Studios_Japan_18Universal Orlando has announced that its brand new attraction, called Ride Through New York With Jimmy Fallon, will officially debut on April 6, Thursday.

The grand opening date was announced by Jimmy Fallon on his late-night NBC talk show last Thursday. Moreover, Fallon will be taping “The Tonight Show” at the theme park from April 3 to April 6.

Universal’s Volcano Bay to Use Magnetic Technology

bright lava effects, said Universal when the new Orlando’s coming attraction was revealed last week.
Unniversal announced new details about its coming Volcano Bay water park. A wristband will alert guests when it’s time to get to the next ride.

Universal Orlando Opens Its Fifth Hotel Sapphire Falls Resort

hotelLoews Sapphire Falls Resort, located between Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay Beach resorts, officially opened its doors and greeted its first guests on Thursday morning.

The other two Universal Orlando hotels are Portofino Bay and the Hard Rock Hotel. All the five hotels are operated by Loews Hotels & Resorts, which has 26 hotels in the United States and Canada, including in Miami Beach, Chicago, St. Petersburg, Atlanta, New York. and Washington, D.C.
