It looks like the rumors have been confirmed. After months of speculation, Marriott <\/a>confirmed that it was planning a third resort hotel at Walt Disney World next to its Swan and Dolphin hotels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIt was only clear that the new project would focus on business travelers, with\nmeeting spaces and business suites. Nearly half of the 343 rooms in the new hotel\nwill be business suites. The hotel will provide more professional meeting space\nwith built-in AV systems, large conference tables, and other meeting-focused\namenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

With 350 rooms, the new tower would be extremely small for Disney World compared to the Swan that has 756 rooms and the Dolphin with its 1509 rooms.

\n\n\n\nThe Cove would be the fourth hotel currently in the works for Walt Disney\nWorld. We currently only have few details on the Star Wars hotel that will be\nnearby, it is rumored to have roughly 400 rooms at\nits debut and around 1,000 rooms at full build-out. Also, there is a 15-story\ntower that is currently under construction at Disney\u2019s Coronado Springs.\nThat hotel will have 500 rooms. Another tower is also under construction at\nwhat was Disney\u2019s Caribbean Beach Resort, named the Disney Riviera\nResort, and with 300 suites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s not forget that the\nSwan and Dolphin received $140 million update recently that\nincluded renovated public spaces and updates to all guest rooms. The project\nwas done by Manhattan-based design company ICRAVE that also designed\nthe entertainment areas aboard the Disney Dream and Fantasy cruise ships. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
