SeaWorld Entertainment announced they are planning to build new Sesame Place theme park in Orlando.

Sesame Street and SeaWorld Parks are partnering to build a new Sesame Street land at its Orlando theme park by the year 2022. They are also considering a second Sesame Place theme park in a yet-unknown location in the United States.

Florida Woman Finds Python in Laundry

A Florida woman was shocked to find python while doing laundry.

Juanita Tedesco of Cocoa, got the shock of her life when she spotted a ball python while doing the laundry. Juanita Tedesco said the python was wrapped around her pet rat’s blanket and the snake even tried to “eat the blanket.”

Drunken Father Accused of Child Neglect at Disney Resort

A father was accused of drunken tirade and child neglect at Disney resort.

A man, visiting Walt Disney World with his family, was arrested at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and faces multiple charges after he went on a “drunk tirade” through one of the resorts and let his child get sunburned on Sunday, according to authorities.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Brian Olmstead of Brunswick, Ohio on Sunday after at least 11 complaints were filed Olmstead over the course of four hours at the Disney resort.

Tram Stops Functioning for 3rd Time at Orlando International Airport

For the third time in the last five days the new tram stopped working causing headaches for passengers. Hundreds of passengers were forced to take a bus or walk to their gates. Some flights had to be delayed, but yesterday more than 50 travelers missed their flights, according to Executive Director Phil Brown.

Lake Worth’s Historic Gulfstream Hotel to Get $80 Million Makeover

The historic Gulfstream Hotel will be renovated, expanded and reopened soon.

 

A Delray Beach Developer is planning to revive the historic hotel in Lake Worth. Hudson Holdings, the Delray Beach company, is going ahead with an $80 million makeover of the Gulfstream Hotel.
The developer has announced plans to begin construction of a 12-month renovation and expansion of the hotel property this fall.
The 106-room Gulfstream Hotel at 1 Lake Avenue opened in 1924. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983.

Gondola System Officially Confirmed at Disney

The Walt Disney Resort is getting a gondola transportation system. The new transportation system would connect parks and hotels, documents confirm. The gondola system has been rumored for months.
Documents from the Disney-controlled Reedy Creek Improvement District confirm that the project is actually going forward and Walt Disney World is working on a gondola lift system in order to connect some of its theme parks and hotels.

SpaceX Makes History by Successfully Re-launching First Orbital Rocket

SpaceX launched the first reusable orbital rocket into space and then landed it on Earth Thursday.

In another historic first, SpaceX successfully re-launched one of its Falcon 9 reusable rockets into space and then landed the 224-foot-tall booster on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean safely.

The milestone occurred on March 30 and marked the first time in the spaceflight history that the same rocket has been used on two separate missions to orbit.

Neighborhood on Alert for Escaped Venomous Cobra

Police and wildlife officials said an Ocala neighborhood should be on alert after a venomous cobra escaped from a home Monday night.
Authorities continue to search for the two-foot-long, monocled cobra that escaped from its owner’s home Monday in Ocala, 70 miles northwest of Orlando. The cobra was reported missing by its owner Brian Purdy around 11:15 pm Monday. Purdy has a venomous reptile permit. He was training another man to handle the cobra when it escaped around 9 pm.

Skyplex Gets Another Thrill Attraction

A new thrill ride is coming to the Skyplex amusement complex set to be built on the corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Road in Orlando.
SkyJump is the sixth major attraction planned for the complex, the developers announced Thursday. The new attraction joins the lineup of rides such as the Skyscraper roller coaster, the SkyFall ride, a 450-foot drop ride, a Sky Surf park and SkyLedge, which allows guests to walk around the edge of the Skyplex tower 600 feet above ground. SpaceX Stops Rocket Launch at the Last Minute

SpaceX delayed a rocket launch from Nasa’s historic moon pad 13 seconds before liftoff due to a familiar glitch.

Last-minute rocket trouble forced SpaceX to halt the countdown with just 13 seconds remaining.
