A New York man rents a billboard to get a dream job at Walt Disney World.
How far would you go to land the job of your dreams? For one Central Florida man, the sky, or almost, was the limit.
In an attempt to get the attention of the company’s HR department, a man looking for a job in Walt Disney World rented a billboard near the park in Orlando, Florida.
The billboard along State Road 535 reads, “Dear Walt Disney World Executives and HR, experienced EA/PA Professional seeking a position as a WDW Assistant.” It provides his phone number and email address “futureWDWassistant@gmail.com.”
Disney must
appreciate this guy, Brandon Fox, willing to stand out among the rest of the
applicants in this job search. Brandon currently lives in New York City but had
previously worked for Disney World at the parks after high school as part of
the Disney College Program.
Brandon says that it is home for him, his “first role out of high school”, and
it also has always had that special feeling for him. That is why he is hoping the billboard will
catch the attention of Disney executives.
Imagine how many résumé Disney gets every day. Brandon says that he just wanted to think of a way to show that he was not just a piece of paper.
Walt Disney World released the following statement: “We appreciate the creativity and encourage anyone interested in a role with us to apply at disneycareers.com.”
